Roses and Thorns

The good in the bad, or the bad in the good.

Not long ago someone very close to me was dealing with some issues that no one knew about. My heart was so broken for this person. I was at a loss. There was nothing I could say or do to make the pain stop.

The situation was something that was out of our hands. Until, this person realized there were roses in the thorns. They had been struggling with the pain of the thorns, and they didn't realize how beautiful the roses were.

Maybe, you're struggling with a situation and you can't see any good in it. Nothing is right. Everything is just wrong. Depression can settle in so easy when you're dwelling on the pain. The question is, are you going to let the thorns over take you? Or are you gonna sit back and look at the roses?

You may not have control over the problem, but you do have control over the way you react to it. The way you look at it. You control your attitude. You control your actions. How are you going to respond?

O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. - Psalms 34:8
