Going, Going, Gone

My dad is an auctioneer. Growing up, even now, anytime he would have a sell he would always say, "Going once, going twice, gone!". It's an auctioneer thing.

At an auction, an item will be brought up to be sold. People will look it over and think about if it's something they really want. Then, the bidding starts. Sometimes, several different people want the same item and they don't stop until they have it, no matter how much it cost.

I often think as God as an auctioneer. He offers things before us, we sit back and look it over and decide if it's worth it.

If it's something we really want, we will keep fighting until we "win" it.

Maybe, there's something God is offering you. You are debating to "bid" or keep your hand down.

The thing is once an item is sold, it's gone. That's it. There's no going back.

If God is offering you something, consider the source.

He's not going to sell you a bad item. He's God.

In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust:let me never be put to confusion. - Psalms 71:1
