Own Your Emotions

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. -Proverbs 4:23

Guard your heart, above all things. Guard it. Your heart, mind, and emotions are good at playing games with you. Their good at tricking you into thinking thoughts that keep you from being who God wants you to be.

But, the thing is, they are YOURS. You own them. You have the power to say, "No."

How crazy is it that we blame so much on our emotions?

"Well I was in a bad mood."

"They made me mad"

No, you let yourself get it a bad mood.

No, you lost your temper.

They didn't do anything. You control them.

The attitude of our hearts reflects our thoughts. You control what you let into your life. Your emotions. Your mind. Your heart.

So, if you own your heart, you own your joy.

You own your mind, you own your happiness.

It's all up to you.

"Well that person just didn't really make me happy."

So you're letting others define your happiness?

You can't control what's around you, but you can control how you react to it.

You can tell your depression, 'I'm gonna win because I own you'

You're letting too many things & people into your heart without guarding your life support.

You want to be happy?

"These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, that your joy might be full." - John 15:11

Happiness is a path that is connected to God's word. God says to guard your heart. Control your emotions.

You can't believe everything you think. Cause our hearts go hand in hand with our minds, and our hearts are deceitful. (Jeremiah 17:9)

Matthew 15:11 says, "Not that which goeth into a mouth defileth a man; but what which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man."

You control your emotions, you'll control your mouth. Everything you do flows from who you really are.
