A Thristy Soul

“So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water. And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? And he cried unto the Lord; and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,” ‭‭- Exodus‬ ‭15:22-25‬

Are you thristy for more than what you're getting?

We face long hard journeys. It's just part of life. But, maybe you've been walking, and you can't seem to find any water.

I mean look at the children of Israel here, they've went three days in the wilderness with no water.

What absolutely blows me away is when they do find the water, they've been longing for, it's bitter. It's no good!

They can't even drink it.

Is that what's happening in your life? You've been trying to find that water you so desperately need from Our Heavenly Father, and you thought you found it. Then, its bitter. The children of Israel were not happy.

They start doubting God's ability to provide, when He has supplied so much for them already.

Take a look at where He's brought you from, and realize that He will never leave you or forsake you.

Stop doubting Him.

“But I trusted in thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my God.” ‭‭- Psalms‬ ‭31:14‬ ‭

I spoke at my church about 3 months ago on this passage of scripture.

Last week, I had a lot of time with just me and The Lord.

I've been thristy for something more. I was reading in my notebook, hoping to find some kind of encouragement, when I came across this.

I hope it blessed you the way it has me.
