Under the Pressure

The unsettled peace, the drop you feel in your stomach, the way your heart starts to races, and your mind is thinking 100 thoughts all at once.

When all the sudden we are put under this massive pressure cause a situation popped up.

Something that we didn't see coming. Then, comes the questions. Second guessing ourselves, and wondering why this is happening.

We can brag about how strong we are, how much faith we have, but it's when you're under pressure you see just how strong you are.

There are several people in my life that when their under pressure, they are so calm. They have it together. They make it look so easy. They have so much peace, and they give no room for the devil to shake their emotions.

What are you like under pressure? If you're anything like me, you panic, maybe cry a little, then realize that you're not getting anywhere with your pity party so you try to pull it together.

Then, you do something you should've done to begin with, you pray. Telling God all about it. We worry and struggle, because we have no control. Yet, there's this constant whisper in your ear asking you, "What if?".

I'm learning more and more that it isn't about the pressure of a situation, it's about how I react to it. Without pressure, we wouldn't learn. God uses tools to get our attention.

Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you. - Isaiah 35:4

Be strong, fear not. He's not asking. He's making a command. It's not an option. If your letting your pressure make you fearful, you're giving the devil room to work. Have faith, because, "... he will come and save you.".
